CV Parsing

1. Creating a new Applicant file

Navigate Main Menu> HR> Applicants

In the following steps, begin creating a new Applicant file with limited information.

 

 

Click on +NEW

 

Fill-in only the Last Name and update Gender if you know of the new Applicant and save the page

 

 

2. Application process and parsing information to the Applicant record

The CV parsing option is part of the Application process. Now, click on + in the Applications grid

 

In the previous step, we created an Application from the Applicant record. This will automatically fills in the Applicant field. Enter the Received On date and Save to continue working.

 


Note:

You must remember to fill in the Applicant field when you create a new Application from Main Menu>>HR>>Applications and +NEW.


 

Upon saving, you will notice that the Notes section will now enable you to write Notes also allow you to attach a document. Locate the Applicant’s CV from your local disk and attach it to the Application.

 

You can see the attached document in the Notes section. Now, click on CV PARSING found on the ribbon menu.

 

Enter your TEXTKERNEL credentials now. It is a one-time authorization process. The system will remember the credentials the next time you choose to use CV Parsing.

 

Finish the CV parsing process by clicking on Next and Finish in the next dialog.

 


IMPORTANT:

The success rate and accuracy of information captured through the process depends on the settings of your TEXTKERNEL account and the format of the Applicant’s CV. Check the Applicant record to crosscheck the amount and quality of information imported.


 

3. Best practice: Automate CV Parsing (Rollup 23.2+)

Rollup 23.2 introduces a new best practice. You can put a CV in the notes of an application and it will automatically be parsed and enrich the applicant. You only need to adjust one workflow.

 

3.1 Prerequisites

For the automation to work, your TEXTKERNEL® credentials need to be saved in the system. The easiest way to guarantee this, is to parse the first CV by dialog as described above. From there on, your credentials are saved.

 

3.2 Automation of CV parsing

Go to NavBar -> Settings -> Processes

 

Use the top right search field and look for: Auto-parse attachments of new applications - HR Management [multilingual] - xRM1

Open the workflow by double-clicking it

 

Deactivate the process with the button in the top menu bar

 

Change the Settings from As an on-demand process -> Record is created and Activate the process by clicking the button in the top menu
